Even the SKoreans have gotten soft. This is what happens when you let your enemies regroup for 50 years building up their artillery and long-range weapons capabilities and letting them aim the weapons at you. The US and SKoreans should have taken out the North 50 years ago when the North didn’t even have enough bullets to arm their soldiers. The only thing that is stopping the SKoreans from crossing the DMZ is the threat of NKoreans artillery raining down on Seoul, the SKorean capital with over 10 million people. The 1st 10 minutes and the city will be flattened and millions of people will be dead. That is not including the 10 nuclear devices they have. The SKorean capital is only 30 miles away from the DMZ.

Nothing will happen UNLESS NK storms into SK or if China decides it has had enough. With China backing NK and them having such a economic pull these days nothing will be done without their OK. Though China's relationship with NK have been weakening quickly as they continue to develop their economy and trade. I believe China is realizing how much they now rely on the west and such and that NK is holding them back with no real gain.

Only time will tell but this will just be another flare up between these two. technically they are still at war so one could cross into the other country anytime that want to spark the fighting again...
