Northern states, pond management during the winter.

I've seen a small solar panel that runs areators and pumps. This past summer I was camping and saw a small (20') wind mills operating an areator in the fishing ponds at the campsite. Although, no wind, no areation. I would think the initial set up might be expensive, but no running costs. I have a small pond that I keep the waterfall running year round.

Those windmills provide aeration and water movement. I don't think I am ready to put in a windmill, we do get 50MPH winds here from Lake Ontario though.

My dad does the waterfall on his pond as well. I don't have the setup for a waterfall yet.
