Northwest members get in here: new aquarium?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lmao! Nah, after dealing with crowds everywhere I went (zoo lights, the grotto, P.I.R. Festival of lights, queen Anne's house) and remembering you saying 20 birthday parties I made a last minute judgement call while on the way to the aquarium to just hit it the next time I'm in that neck of the woods. Figured it might be more enjoyable with less people

So far only one child has fallen in! A few phones were eaten by the touch tanks. Going smoother now than over the weekend, over 4k people Saturday and Sunday.

I'm looking forward to a couple days off for sure.

We tried to go today. :(

We got there at about 11:00 and there was a line stretching out into the parking lot. I stood in the line for about ten minutes and it only moved a little from the people that were giving up and leaving. Someone said they were full to capacity and only letting people in at the rate they were leaving (don't know if that is true or not) and I couldn't wait that long with a three year old and a one year old.

On one hand I was disappointed that we weren't able to get in, but on the other hand I am glad they're doing so well!

Yeah sorry man it's been insane with the Holidays. We're averaging about 2300 people a day since Christmas, and we predicted/anticipated that weekdays would be 500-1000! Glad I'm not working today (I did sleep with the sharks last night - got paid to sleep) as I bet it will be even crazier. After Christmas break it should slow down. Weekdays are best, if you can't do that come right at opening or later in the evening on the weekend (after 5pm).

So how does it compare to the New Port one (fish wise, who cares about the nonfish lol)? Got a few family members interested in checking it out including myself.
