Well some good news my remaining half banded spiny eel is now eating I noticed twice now when the lights come on it comes out from hiding and starts rooting around in the substrate so I dumped a fair bit frozen blood worms in enough to get to the bottom before the tetras get to it and it and saw it eating .I am yet to see the peacock eel feed though as it hides in the substrate until the lights go off .It has now been in the tank 3 weeks I will continue to put food in when I switch off the room lights

Good to hear that one is out and feeding. From the pictures it looks to me not to be a half banded, macrognathus circumcinctus but macrognathus pancalus aka barred, yellow fin or Indian spiny eel. Whatever he is it's good news that he seems to be out of the woods.
