Swimming in a mountain river
Well. My house is too old for the weight of my ACTUAL monster tank, which is beyond depressing... But. I got a temporary tank. Only 135gal(72Lx18Tx24W), but it'll work. I'm proud of my cleaning/descratching job and the stand we built is rather awesome looking for just a quick diy(still needs paint, I'll post more when that's done):D . So here's some before and after. Took about 2 days to build the stand, 2 days to Novus the whole thing. In general, not bad!

Nice tank! Older houses are usually built better than new houses that skimp on the materials just to reach the bare legal minimum to maximize profits. But nice dimensions!

Awesome!

If you don't mind, what did you use to clean/de-scratch the tank? My own 135 gallon will be here tomorrow and it could use a little TLC.

It's an old "manufactured home". This thing is 28yrs old, and not well loved either. And I used Novus polishing kit. I just use towels though. Takes work, but, works great. It gives you directions on how to use it. But with #2 it seems to work better if you run along with the scratch. Instead of tiny circles like directions say. Goes a LONG way. Bought this kit, and it's lasted me through a 450gal and 135gal with lots to spare! http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000J41VDM?pc_redir=1401708425&robot_redir=1

are you able to get underneath it? my friend bought a mobile home and he just went underneath and built a solid support structure underneath where the tank was going. he has a 320 gallon and the floor hasn't moved at all in the 6 months its been set up.

I rent and shouldn't b staying here TOO much longer. So i don't want to do a bunch of ridiculousness for a rental :) If i owned it, yea I'd just reinforce the floor.

Primers on! Since i can't have my native tank... I decided to do stencils of native fish instead! Here's some examples:

There will b 2 big stencils on the doors, then a boarder of native fishes and animals on the edges. Paint is going to b semi-gloss black, then the 2 large stencils will b blue, rest will b white. Image in my head is awesome. Hopefully it will look as good as i envision...

That looks awesome!
What is going to be the stock?

Stock will for sure b 2 turtles and possibly some smallish fish. Though not sure what yet. Open to suggestions if someone has some ideas.
