hard to get pics of the lil' bugger but hes been in our tank how 24+ hours and his concave tummy is already looking much better! for how tiny he is he has mastered the 40B he's currently in. eating blackworms and I think Thera A. sold as "tank raised" so very well might be. reguardless he's eating and i'm happy!

Yep! pretty sure he's a sp. Kannume? Will surely need some opinion once I can get a better picture of him hard to tell but he's about 2"

Maybe Mormyrus tapirus? Very cool either way, where from?

lol bet you where thinking I found a carpo finally ;) ... found him at AU in Milwaukee. Was looking for something my usual LFS didn't have, and stumbled on him. over-paid... but eh couldn't pass up the opportunity =)

And possible he's a taparis.. just not a lot of 100% picture confirmations of the species =/ look 'em up and I've seen 3 dif ids for the same pic.

I was hoping you stumbled upon a whole selection of different Knives, lol, but I'll keep waiting.
Can't wait for some more shots!

We get what I believe are Mormyrus Longirostris up here quite regularly. I'm not very good at IDing these guys though. Nice pickup :)

Yep this is the other species it could be... lol... I don't know how to ID them at all yet... hoping someone does when I can get some clearer pics of him. and yeah I was pretty stoked he was as healthy as he was (tummy concaved) but otherwise fins and body clean and he was active. Figure i'll keep feeding the tank blackworms nls and prime reef... and see if I can catch him eating and what he's eating as his tummy deffinately shows that he is.
