:D My baby. Bought it used last year as a bday present to me. So it's a little scratced up. I absolutely LOVE the grips on it. One of the most acurate guns I've ever shot. If Jose ever tells me where he got that sticker ones going on here. :D

Cant go wrong with an American Classic...at least in design!

Im still a Browning Hi Power guy. Maybe its cause Im too cheap to shoot .45!

I agree with the cheap part. Hollow points are ridiculous. Polymer tips...........don't get me started................shot tips...............forget it. lol

Why didnt you my friend uncel has on i felt the bullet it is heavy hat to get shot by one of thoes:nilly:

I always like the grip safety.....i like the look of that one..

It's a love/hate with the safetys on this thing. Believe me. The ambi-safety is the worst design EVER on a gun. I've had so many problems with it. I have to get it put back on after every 1000 rounds. It just flys out. The grip safety makes it a pain to let the hammer down without firing because it actually almost covers the hammer. But other than that its a damn good gun, lol.

Why are you letting the hammer down on a chambered round? 1911's should NEVER be carried in condition 2. They should be cocked and locked only. 1911s do not have a hammer block safety so, if you drop it in condition 2 and it falls on the hammer, the gun will fire and it could end up pretty ugly.

I carry my CZ-82 in I guess what I would call condition 2 (hammer down safety off) even though I can carry it in condition 1. I carry it in C2 because it has a hammer block safety so if I drop it, the hammer wont fall on the firing pin. Id also rather have a long heavy DA pull and no safety to fool with then a short crisp SA pull with a safety to fumble around. That is all personal preference. Of course all of the other shots will be in SA.

As for the IMI DE, well lets just say it isnt as good as it is in counter strike. The DE is nothing more then a novelty. Its HEAVY, quick follow up shots are non existent and the cost of .50ae ammo is INSANE. Not to mention that a nicely .45 is much less ineffective. Hell Id rather carry my P32 (.32acp) then lug around a DE all day!

Same here with the DE, way too heavy to actual holster and carry. I never have to let the hammer down, unless it does the weird ass jam it does when the ambi-safty flys apart and lodges a live round half way in. It's hard to explain, it's happened a few times and I hate it. I've had to get warranty work on it more than I'd like. All the reviews I've read say that this gun is prone to it :irked:

I shouldve went with my original plan and bought a Judge. A buddy of mine has one and they're ridiculous.

Yeah I have heard about they safety issue.

You should sell it and buy two CZ-82s! You cant go wrong with an accurate (has a polygonal barrel instead of lands and groovers), double stack, compact, SUPER nice DA/SA (actually the SA has a pretty good amount of creep and will probably feel like crap compared to a 1911 but the DA pull is just wonderful) pistol for about $200! Cheap to shoot too!

Or you can buy one CZ-82 which again is a hi-cap compact in 9x18 (good for carry and HD) and one Tokarev. Toks are like the comm bloc version of the 1911, very similar in action but no safeties at all (well to be imported the importers put junk safeties on them). They have a decent SA pull, but what really shines about them is the caliber they shoot, 7.62x25. This is one HOT little round and its CHEAP! Im talked less then 10cents a pop cheap! Its so hot that technically it should be considered AP as it can and will pierce light armor, which from a handgun is technically illegal. Luckily the ATF hasnt classified it as AP yet. But I do love that little round.
