I normally QT new fish for at least 3 months.
but I got impatient about 6 weeks ago, and because I didn´t see any abvious systems, cut QT short to 6 weeks.
Big mistake, within about a week, what must had been invisble larval Lernaea, started showing up yesterday on Cyprinids as adult parasites..
And today 2 floating corpses.

Even though I´m starting a double dose of Prazi today, my expectaion is the have half the fish in the tank will bite the dustin the next week.

By yesterday the Lernaea had multiplied exponentially on some of the Characins.

So on my trip to the mainland, 4 tubes of Pazi were picked up, and by afternoon, 2 tubes were injected.
Enough so a residual of the gel, could be seen on the substrate.

The scakeless fish were quick to react adversly to the meds, becoming agitated.IMG_9775.jpeg
I figure some collateral damage is necessary with the application of certain meds, and with the light day, it may become obvious.

I had picked up 4 tubes of prazi in total, with 2 tubes held in reserve for tomorrow in case todays first double dose isn´t sufficient,
