yeah, I always remember them. at the time I was still a starving student and did not have a 'real job' yet

so dropping $80 on a loach was out of my price range at the time.

now if I saw them I would not leave empty handed :)

how many years ago would you say that was? I'm curious as to when the last time these were imported, as there are ZERO in hobbyist tanks in the North America that can be verified.

Nice....Fugu - me thinks that it was mislabeled perhaps?

well...about 5-6 years ago, they had some labeled as royal clown loach, which were actually pelligrini, I bought a dozen or so of them, to the untrained eye, they look very similar to elongata.

but i've heard of many accounts, how people use to see them imported, roughly 7-10 years ago, I just wonder what they were, unfortunately, none of the fish are still around to be verified.

look at this loach, what do you think it is?

I last saw them in 2000, as I was leaving the LFS for a while (worked there part time) because my third year at university was going to be brutal. I specifically remember them because they came in on my last day.. and yes I think they were labeled royal clown loach, not queen clown loach as I had said..
