They're easy to breed, easy to raise and sell well. I've had a couple of breeding colonies going for years. They don't produce TONS of fry, but I always have enough to bring bunches to the local club auctions.
If you're looking to make a buck, I'd suggest investing in albino longfins or calicos. They are much more $$$ than the standard browns or even standard albinos.
sorry its been a while since i updatedi seperated the eggs because the male had fanned em out of the cave and into the open where theneons and tiger barbs were picking them off
OH yeah another update, they laid eggs again this time the male isnt fanning em to the point where theyre flying out of the cave, but ill still keep an eye on them and post pics as they evolve.
