IN YOUR HEAD
i looked in my tank today and last night my peacock ate 10 neons:irked:...it also killed a cardnal:irked:...a week ago it killed a male fancy guppy:irked:...the eel is 6-7" long, i didn't think it could eat that much in one night...when i saw the missing fish i though "who did it" but no bodies so i looked at the eel and saw lump after lump in its stomach...i just my a vid of the tank last night too...the last time i made a vid of a tank all my tinfoils randomly died in the morning...i have got to stop taking vids of my tanks..lol here is the vid from before...all neons are gone now don't they look to big?http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273339

Hard to tell with the vid...........but that does not look like a peacock eel.

To me it looks like a pale baby TT or maybe a ZigZag Eel, which would explain all the deaths.

def peacock ;) cant see the spots in the vid so heres pics...same tank, same fish diff bottom...

Yes I see your right, I couldn't see the spots or stripes in the video.

With that being said, I'm curious, what do you feed him?

i feed it angle worms, brine shrimp, ghost shrimp, i've seen it eat baby snails...oh ya and neons;)

those are angle worms, leaf worms, nightcrawlers it eats the crap out of them...earth worms are refured to as angle worms when little here in mn;)

Wish mine would have lived.... ate by a catfish.....
Nice eel btw

that same reason is why i don't have a fire eel in my big tank.... yet:naughty:...after my tsns are in my new tank that i am building then i will get one...and thanx to this eel i don't have to worry about the centipede knife eatting any neons...thanx for the compliment...

Sorry you lost some of your fish, I have a tire track eel and what I thought was too big for him to eat was proven wrong cause he is only 7-8 inches and will happily take down 3 12 inch earthworms and still give me puppy dog eyes!
