Well, Yngwie Malmsteem might have him, but still....This is pretty damn impressive...

Angelo is good. I'm not a fan of "shredding" but Jason Becker and Rusty Cooley are top knotch. Jason Becker is the cleanest and fastest shredder and Rusty Cooley shreds an 8 string guitar like it's a normal guitar. doesn't get much gnarlier than that.

Honestly, I think thats just fancy looking. With the right kind of strings and a couple days practice I could learn that, and I know a lot of other guitarists that could too. Its one thing to play fast and a completely different thing to play difficult solos fast.

Don't jump too quick to conclusions. hahaha. a couple days of practice won't be enough to play it exactly like this guy, even for an advanced guitarist. just because michael angelo makes it look easy doesn't mean it's easy. :grinno:

I agree, I hadn't watched the whole video when I posted that, towards the end it gets a little more technical. It just bothers me for some reason when these guys get up there like they are awesome just cuz they can play super fast. Playing fast is not hard to do AT ALL. The real skill comes in the technical difficulty of how the solo is played.

Well.....playing "super" fast is definitely NOT easy. Especially if you focus on being "clean" and "precise" w/ your solos, etc. Which means staying on rhythm as well. The real skill is to play cleanly and to stay on rhythm while playing difficult solos, etc. I've played guitar for 7 years now and even to this day i've noticed many guitarists still fail at that. Michael Angelo is very clean when it comes to playing and he can execute his songs perfectly on contact which is why many guitarists look up to him. I can't stress enough how much practice and motivation is needed in order to play anywhere near as good as this guy.

+1. Which is why I rock Michael Romeo and Yngwie Malmsteem
