1. Yes, the feeder fish have reflections. Unless they are vampires, then they do not.

2. I do not know of any diseases that affect algae. Most people clean it off before it has a chance to contract a disease.

3. You're welcome.

Im not sure if i said it right so Ill try again. but thank you either way. My algae fish...a.k.a. sucker fish. Will it get any sickness from me putting in feeding fish...a.k.a goldfish.in the tank to feed my piranahas
Thank you.

I asume that your algae eater is in a quaranteen tank that you are using for your feeders. Yes it is suceptable to parasites and desiese from the feeders. If it is in the tank with your piranahs, I would not worry about it getting disease from goldfish feeders, as it will be a feeder itself soon enough!

This may come as a surprise but the sucker fish RUNS the tank. He puts them in check. It came as a surprise to me but it is what it is.
Thank you

That pretty much sums it up!

Feeder fish are usually kept in poor water conditions because of their disposability and are sold in bulk, FYI..............

Should be moved to Piranha forum -

Yes the "algae eater" is suseptable to any disease that the goldfish may contain.
Also Gold fish have a vitamin B inhibiting enzyme that eventually will degrade the health of the Piranha and perhaps the sucker fish if he's eating goldfish scraps.
Piranha do not need live fish, they readily except a wide variety of safer foods like silverslides, shrimp, talapi fillet, krill, etc...
