Not thrilled with Gymnos

So what have you decided to get instead? I was thinking about just getting some Geo's and putting them in my tank with the few Gymnos that i have left but wonder how regular geo's would do in a tank without a heater? The water Temp right now is around 74 but when i turn on the swamp cooler it will get much cooler.

You're going to love these guys. I'm getting a pair Hongsloi over the next week or so to add to my current collection. Lots of really nice color in them and they are fun to watch too.

I think someone had a point with the male ratio. I have a tank with several varieties of gymnos and lots of males as well as females. With so many males they all have to be constantly on guard and defending and creating territories. The yerbolita is the king and stays in the front center of the tank all most constantly.
I also have a smaller tank with only a breeding pair of yerbolitas in it and they come out only for food. Beautiful yet boring very unlike the action packed community tank.
