What a trip how things are just different in other places. The principal of life remains the same for the most part. Such as grow up get married have kids. Take care of family. Grow old and....... But the little things are what separate us lol!! Do they teach English in Thailand class rooms? I know in Japan they teach English. And isn't it a trip how different American people are from British.

Yeah man its pretty trippy. They teach English over here, in fact, there are a whole ton of American and British-circulum schools. The reason they have it is because theres a lot of Ex-Pats from the US and Europe living here. In fact I am actually an ex-pat. US Citizen and lived in Thailand my whole life, and I'm half Irish half Thai. My grade school years were spent in strictly English-speaking schools, so I am fluent in both English and Thai, and know mediocre Russian and German.

Living abroad presents A LOT of life opportunities. I lived in the US a few times in my life (Hawaii in 1990, Colorado 1999-2000, Providence RI in 2006 then moved to Boston MA in 2007, and moved back to Thailand in mid-07), but Thailand is a pretty interesting place to live at. I worked as a Translator and an English teacher here.

I finally know what a meter is lol! I would get it confused with the yard. Whats a kilometer?

and you about to finish a carpentry apprenticeship? :screwy:I hope you measure 5 times and cut once.

Isnt measuring a fundamental skill in woodwork?

Yes but they dont teach with meters or nothing metric. We go by inch's. That's how the school text books are written. 64th" 32nd" 16th" 8th"quarter's halfs inch's...........My instructor has never taught a single lesson in any thing other then inch's and feet. So I get thrown off with meters, kilometer's and so forth. But ya I will have one of the journeyman from work draw it out for me. If Im sneaky enough I can get it cut at work on a cnc. Just assemble it at home:naughty:

Great lookin RTC, Can't wait to see him in his new (sound's to be huge) home someday. You have any idea when you would start/finish the project?

Well I'm currently in an apt. Im looking at a few house's right now and should make a choice soon. Ive narrowed it down and now its just the family agreeing on it. But as soon as it goes down the project will start asap. I have alot of home work to do as far as filtration and all the details. I would love a 12x12 but may have to down grade to a more reasonable size. But I'm not going anything less then an 8x8. So soon!! I'll pick up a 300 gallon for now just so he can get a little space. Hell I might even pick up one of those walmart pools for now!!
