Instead of asking what WE think WE would put in your tank, please, go to your [LFS]Local Fish Seller (mom and pop shop, Petsmart, Walmart, Superpetz, Petco, etc...) and take a pencil and paper. Write down all of the fish that you like, but are not sure about. Bring THAT list here and I'm sure some of the experts can tell you whether or not you want that fish, or if they are compatible.

I apologize if this offends anyone, its just irritating when some people(or myself) are asking serious, desperate questions, and the thread is drowned by innumerable "WHAT SHOULD I PUT IN THIS TANK" threads.

Well, sorry if are issues are not as grave as your but I thought this site was for everbody, not just the "PROs". Your comment is very offensive. Do you ever think that maybe us "mom and pop shoppers" might want to know of some "new" specimens out there that we are maybe not aware of? That we might find interesting...........I thought this site was to share knowledge.....guess I was wrong! Sorry for being an inconvenience.

Uh-OH, hug time.

Somebody needs to kick-the-dog!!!!

I just kind of pass over the "what should I stock this with" threads now. People should be able to put any question they want up...as long as it deals with the forum they are under, isnt' that why we are here?

Otherwise in my humble opinion - you should only get (1) aro, (1) rtc, and (1) sea monkey - barebottom. Can't go wrong. whoops forgot my ray. (hmmm...which one?)

How is my, or some of the "pros" opinions going to impress you? how do we know what you enjoy watching? or your favorite color? or if you like aggressive, opposed to gentle fish? how are we expected to understand your budgets or limitations? why would we know whether or not you are responsible enough to take care of the fish that are proposed?

If you want to look into some of your options, there is an entire section dedicated to teaching "noobs" about certain species, with countless pictures and basically instructions of what you're getting yourself into.

Click there, and see what you like.

If nothing there appeals to you, well...this is the MONSTER fish keeping forum, not the tetra forums. (hence, why so many jokes are made about putting tetra's in 240g+ tanks)

So instead of a title "What should I put in my 125?" and when clicked to see if you have more information, viewers are faced with "?" and nothing more, how can you expect to be helped?

i know you put in the title that you werent trying to be rude but i have to agree that asking what should i put in this tank without species has its place here. I have kept fish all my life and theres plenty of species i dont know and info i should know. I try to put a species in my questions on that subject but ask for other suggestions and have on numerous occassions been told species that i thought were out of my reach.

thus these questions have a place on this forum maybe there is a comprimise we can come to, name a species or a list but also ask for suggestions. Threads that arent answered or are inactive for a long period even by those that created it could be removed and a pm sent to the creator informing them:confused: .

We are all here for the info and the company of people who share our obsession and i dont hink any of us can claim to have not known what to do at one point in our time and secondly i dont think any of us can claim to know all species and how to create the right habitat for them if we are to have them in our houses

If somebody is really lost on options, and would like a few suggestions, they should explain themselves. Otherwise I could recommend 2 Jardini's, 3 RBPacu, 2 Tiger Oscars, and 3 Pink Kissing Gourami's.

That list might sound doable to JohnPTC, but to the average enthusiast with a 75 gallon tank, good luck with that. At least thoroughly explain your scenario.
