Notatus or Rotkeil?

Fin color suggest Heros sp. "rotkiel", but there are lots of Heros hybrids out there, having them listed as spotted "severum" and rotkiel/notatus suggest a hybrid to me. And it is a Heros species, not "severum", I hate the way everyone insist on calling every Heros species a "severum". "Severum" is not even a valid species name, the real Heros severus is a very rare mouthbrooding species, what everyone calls "severum" is most likely a hybrid of several species. Ken

^ quit harping, nobody is calling it a Severum.

I have been calling it a Heros Sp. Rotkeil from the beginning of the thread.

Just got a juvi Male Red Spotted Heros Efaciatus to go with it....so gonna stick with it whatever it is....be it Heros Notatus or Heros Sp. Rotkeil...either way its a beautiful juvi.

Sorry if that sounded harsh but he copy and pastes that statement in any thread involving Severums that i come across....i mean who honestly cares that much.

Its like saying 'Oi, I'm not a 'Human' I'm a Homo Sapiens thank you very much...and i could possibly be a Neanderthal Hybrid as could us all..'

Then he'd get offended and say OMG you said 'Neanderthal Hybrid!!!!!!!!!!' the true name is Homo sapiens neanderthalensis!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been told by quite a few Europeans that people are crossing Rotties with greens quite a bit, as in Europe Rotties are not considered a seperate, undescribed species but just a Green color form (like turquoise are, though I disagree with Kullander about that). The lack of Rotties being imported led to crossing with the greens to get more rotties around.

looks like the little guy i posted awhile ago, rotkeil to me.

Will it still look good if it is Female? can't find any female pics anywhere :S

I posted a pic of mine on page 1 of this thread.......

So you did...my bad.
