I think the best thing is to let your opinion be heard by our represntatives, because as I'm sure a huge percentage of the pet keeping community strongly opposes anything like this legislation thus it would be a bad idea to force it through.

I think a banning is kinda harsh... The flames i just got make me want to close this...
 
The bill doesn't have anything to do with whether or not a particular species can or is being housed properly. It is designed (and poorly so) to control the problem of pet owners releasing exotic species into the wild.
