Channel Cats are a great choice for stocking a pond. They are very hardy, grow large, and do have commercial value as a food fish, or for aquarium enthusiast. You could feed them pelleted dog food and they would grow huge quickly. Also, if there is some flowing water, etc., I bet you could get them to spawn. Channel Cats are so competitive for food, no other fish would stand much of a chance in competing with them for food. There are albino channel cats that are more attractive / exotoc.

Makes me want to get some when I get my pond up. But I've always wanted sturgeon. I cant decide. :(
