Do you have any sort of substrate in your tank??? i.e. sand or rocks??? coz if you do, my guess is maybe that it could be "dust" from your substrate thats settled on the bottom???

thats what i was thinking, i did an ich treatment because i noticed my fish rubbing on my driftwood, a couple of my Pirhanas so i runed up the heat to 86 and added salt, not noticing any issues with the rubbing any more, but still small tiny white pebble like things on the bottom a few scatterd along, do you know what a ich cyst looks like, or have any pics and i can show you.. my fish dont have any white bumps and there acting normal tho.. A guy at my LPS said P's are hardy and will make it through ich if it is that, but im not rly noticing any other signs..

Well i heard that ich dies at 84 and higher along with adding salt which i did? Also my fish are acting and eating completly normal...I dunno i jsut wanan figure all this out.. im doing a 25% water change tomorrow so ill be sucking them all up...

I'm absolutely not saying this is what it is for you, but I want to give you a heads up that the WORST case of ich that I ever battled was the temperature resistant strain. Killed everything in the tank which was fortunately a quarantine tank. Maybe someone has an idea of what else it could be.

hmm, well how did u get rid of that when it happened and how long does it take for it to start, i have noticed these on the sand for about 3 days, also if my fish stop rubbing does that mean there cured?
