Notre Dame Is Burning!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah who the F was doing the work?? Is it a coincidence this is part of string of recent fires and vandalism to Catholic Churches in France???
I wonder if they would even admit it. Smh

If it is arson, which I also think likely, it will be nearly impossible to catchbthe culprit(s). France being what it is, I would imagine that such an announcement would just create a wave of violence and hate crimes as a "retaliation". IMO, until there is some evidence, the most intelligent thing to do is what they did, call it an accident.

Absolutely not. Yesterday as it was still burning, They already ruled it an "accident". How can they do that without investigating, especially when it comes right when there are multiple recent deliberate attacks on French Catholic Churches! Imo that tells you right there.

I disagree. IMHO calling it anything other than under investigation is wrong. I also think they may be able to trace where the fire started, and who may be responsible. Can't say for sure but it's done all the time. Now what would be done with the information, who knows.

Absolutely agree. Once fire dept investigators determine the ignition source they can determine if arson was at play. From there it becomes a criminal investigation.... then the dominoes fall

AFAIK, Remy Heitz, Paris' Public Prosecutor has said exactly that. They have 50+ people on the case, but as of right now, they have it listed as an accident.

They are holding the position that arson was not at play, however the chief inspector has a hunch back at the station.

Did you see the donations that are rolling in for the re-build?
