The Prazi must be working, I see things curling up on the body of the male ray, dont know really what they are though. His poop is really yellowish clear stringy too. Internal parisites?

Prazi is some great stuff, and usually can do the job. Good luck!

Came home just now and the male is dead. I think it had some intestine problems besides every thing else, it's stomach was always bulging from the time I got him and it never ate since I've had him.

She's still hanging on, but I'm not counting on her living. The people from Prazipro called tonight and they say Prazi and anything should'nt be mixed, they said they can't test everything to see if it's compatible with each other, but I doubt thats what did him in. I have another ray lined up about an hour away from me, funny thing I've been after this guy for one and he never even called to tell me he's had one for a few weeks. Hope it's a male. My wife I think is a little concered about these things dying on me, I bought one 3 months ago 4 hrs away and there was a mix up about when i would get there to pick it up and it died before I could get it picked up. Oh well back to the drawing board.

Bummer. I am sure you will get it figured out. Trust me I had a few sharks die on me too but let me tell you a lot has to do with the way they are handled and shipped. Once I got a good supplier and got away from the jerk off I was dealing with every thing worked out.

Funny thing, Wilma the ray we've had seems to be moving the new female around the pond, almost like shes helping her along,:D maybe its a good thing!

Ok people, I'm no zoologist but i cut the male ray apart tonight to see if I could see why he was so puffy on the back side and he had a ton of dark poop in him, so that being said would stress keep him from pooping or was there something else wrong?. Every once in a while I would see him poop some stringy yellowish clear stuff.

What color was his liver? Usually it's a good indication of the long term health of the animal. A pale cream colored or yellowish liver could be a sign of other things going on.

The dark matter in the GI tract could be another thing to look at. Usually dark is a good thing...unless it's green. White or pale fecies is a sign of stress or an internal parasite of some kind.

To me if thats was it's liver, it looked fine, his GI tract was packed full of lighter brown than darker brown as far as I could tell
