I'm maybe the only one that is thinking that but... I think it's f*****g stupid to keep whale sharks in tanks, even if they are of millions of gallons :(

They are pelagics (and get huge) and need to swim more than what they could do in those "little" tanks...

And that's the same for manta rays and all other pelagics :screwy:

don't be ghey, this is monster fish keepers. All about keeping monster fish in tanks :D Those sharks have more room to swim around than your fish in your tanks I bet.

aros and peacock bass are large open water fish that swim for miles, and they are both very popular aquarium fish. How are they any different? Do you not think they should be kept in aquariums either?

As long as the fish has enough room to move around and is not cramped, then I guess it's oke. This is aquaria afterall. Otherwise where do you draw the line? Only keep neon tetras?

i thnk i'll piss in my pants if i saw one in dA wild too!HAHA

i'm talkin about dA whale shark!

i thought monteray bay aquarium claim to have the tallest aquarium exibit in da world but ithoght the one in okinawa was bigger.
anyways i went to other aquariums in japan this summer and i saw one that was half-way filled and had iguanas, toucans, ibis, and squirrel monkeys with fish!
also a prevost squirrel with piranhas i think.
i'll post pictures.

^^^ yes please :)

Sweet!!!!
Thats an awesome window of a giant aquarium!
Imagine having that tank in your house and having to feed all those fish!
Damn!

They are the only public aquarium that can boast of housing a whale shark. :naughty:

I dont know how accurate is that now but i believe they were the first ones to do it.
