I don't have the specs on the lens, but it's probably right around 12" (measuring from the sensor to the subject)
When I have it 1:1 the front of the lens is probably 5-6" from the subject.

This thing is schweet. Just out walking around yesterday, too windy for much anything great. Be real fun once the tripod shows up (the 5th) and I can try it out with extension tubes.
Worth a lot more than what I paid. Heh. I'm watching one on eBay right now and it's over $200 with the reserve not met. Another one has the by it now set a $450...crazy people.
I wish I could find the ring light that goes with it for less than $100.
