Fiberglass/gelcoated with glass window. Very very sturdy tank. I think these tanks would make a great lower cost big tank, especially if it was an in-wall tank. We actually made a "stand" for ours--a framework of 3 1/2" tubular steel, painted and powder coated to sit on the floor. The tank is so sturdy, that we decided to just leave it sitting on the cement floor and not put the "frame" underneath it.
I think these tanks make a great alternative to the more traditional type of fish tanks. ApacheDan was the first one on MFK (that I know of) to use one.

We're going to use our tank for a holding sump for our big tank. Right now it's shoved against the wall collecting dust and serving as a catchall for building stuff. It will eventually go partially under the platform we built to access the big tank.
Guess our big tank also fits in the wide tank category
