NTT breathing heavy!! Help!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Im gonna try the coppersafe tonight, after a 25% water change.
I know a place over here by my job that I can get it from.

I lost lot of dats due to these symptoms and put up some posts to try and help me fix them. I got alot of help and suggestions, but in the end I couldnt save any of them, to me rapid breathing is irreversable hope yours is different and if you get him to pull through I would like to know how you did it.
Heres a few threads i started.

Well he's sill alive..but still breathing a little heavy..I has slowed down tho..So hopefully it's working.
How often should I do wc's?? And I have to add more of the coppersafe in with the fresh water right?

Now today I moved my other smallest NTT to the hospital tank b/c of heavy breathing.:nilly:
But I think he got injured trying to swallow a piece of krill that was too big for him, but he took it down anyway..:screwy:
I alway put little pieces in ther for him, but he goes after the bigger 1's I put in for my 5.5" IT.:irked:
But I just moved him in anyway, just to b safe..

I don't want to lose my only 2 little NTT's. I already lost 3 to these symptoms.
So I'll keep yall updated on the condition of both of them.

Bad News!!
I los my smallest NTT this morning.:(
This is the 1 that I just added to the hospital a couple days ago. Do u guys think it was already too late for him??

When I took him out and looked at the gills, I noticed all the gills looked to be clumped together, swollen, and infected. Looked like 1 big, swollen, infected gill.:(

Why r the meds not working?? Shoulod I try something else?? Im using the coppersafe meds.

I am starting to think that the medication probably does destroy the parasites but the damage done may be irreversible by the time we begin to treat the fish,so from now on all thinbars should be treated at the quarantine period as a precaution, too many of us on here have lost them to this affliction.

does this virus spred itself to other datnioids?
