Just scored a 6 inch NTT for 40$. He had some nips on his fins but he looked healthy when I got it, I didnt want to put him in a QT tank because I was scared he may make lunch of my poly endlis. I put him in the main tank, wake up to see he has ick. No other fish in the tank has ick, but now I know the whole tank is contaminated. I usual go with the salt and heat method, but should I give the tank a little more special treatment? I dont want to lose him. Other tank mates are some bichirs, a severum, Indo dat, and a gar. 120 gallon tank.

heat and salt will be no probz

i treated 12 dats including NTT, IT & NGT with no problems

My other dat eats pellets, but he isnt interested in pellets, what should I try to feed him as of now? I have earthworms and variety of pellets, I dont like to feed store bought live fish. should I just keep going with pellets until he gets interested? I'm a big dat noob sorry and thanks

NTTs are more difficult to get on pellets than other dats

it will take chopped pieces of prawnss readily and will love worms. although, i think worms should be a treat once in a while, unless u have an easily supply of worms. it will also take small smelt or chopped peices

once youve treated the ick and youv fattened him up
then you can try and get him on pellets by starving him, will take patience

Raise of the temp to treat the ich.

My big NTT never went to pellets. Currently, I have one on frozen and one on live. Hoping he'll start taking frozen soon.

I have very rarely seen tigers with White spot, but that NTT has def got it ... On the tail. Also fins seem to be rotting..

Lots of members use aquarium salt and very high temps to sort this out, but I have never experienced whitespot on tigers for 6-7 years of keeping them so can't really recommend this. High temps, lots of aeration : yes.
Esha 2000 for the fin rot. I think esha do a whitespot med called exit, or something like that.
Wouldn't bother qt the NTT, u need to treat whole tank and quick.
Good luck

I would feed Krill and frozen Silversides till its healthy. My Thin Bars still won't eat pellets, but I have never seen one not eat krill. Good luck!

Some of the ick on it went away but he still has some ick. I only have coppersafe on me right now. Shoule i go with that? Or should i go out and buy the thing you recommended?

Never used coppersafe so can't advise on that one.

If u can go to the shop in the next 12 hours I would go get the meds I recommemded.

Go get some Rid-ICH or Quick Cure.

Most cases of Ich I've encountered were cured pretty quickly with QC.

Good luck!
