I actualy think the NTT will be as rare as the ST in the future. I hope not , but I have not seen NTTs for sale on the shipping lists for over 2 years.
One lfs, Wildwoods , has managed to get 2 batches in the last 1.5 years. U just don't see them around like the Indos, or silvers.
Lucky I have 6 thinbars :D

Hmm wish that doesnt happen.

Last year my lfs had like more than 20 thin bars that were 5-6 inches and were selling them for $45 each. Wish I could have taken a few for that price :irked:

i have been trying to pick a few up but there are none local to me and my lfs cant get any in.

two scenario

Either they are going to be ban

or

A big rush in like the Indo last year

:WHOA:

for ST.. its done.. no rush in

for IT.. a big rush in.. and price drop

now it's NTT's turn.. what do you think? (It's like buying stock now)

I tend to agree with Ade. They 2 pounds or 3 dollars here right now, and i can buy 100 of them. But that's the point isn't it?
I wouldn't expect a massive numbers explosion any time soon either, because all the talk is about the Mekong drying up quicker and earlier each year. Soon shipping will no be able to travel down it in some places.
Don't know about banning export though, it makes sense IMHO. They realise the ST is gone, they don't want the NTT to go. I'll see what i can find out.
Just remember though the Mekong has two banks, one in Thailand and one in Laos.

Wish i had a 100 to choose from

That would be a shame:( I've been patiently looking for that perfect NTT (for me anyways), but haven't seen it yet. If I don't get a NTT, it's not going to break me since I already have 10 ITs;)

Nice one CC! U are like our overseas scout when it comes to tIgers for sale in thailand. :D
I would be interested if they are in high or low numbers in those tiny plastic bags that they hang on display at the Market.
I actually prefer the NTT over IT. A large NTT is quite a sight, and alot less common than a large IT.
the NTT takes ages to get to 12 inch. (and how often do we see
One over 12 inch??hardly ever)
And much more challenging to keep than ITs. I love them all really!

They don't sell NTT like that. I've only seen that once with all those IT last year.
They do sell the odd few in bags but that's just shops that are way inside JJ market bring fish to sell on the footpath. I've seen green arows in plastic bags on the sidewalk before now!!
I buy NTT of one guy, he always has them. I will go and talk to him. I've got 3 NTT and they are all strong as! One is knocking on 7 or 8 inches now. It eats a prawn a day! Since my Aro died i've been tempted not to buy another and just do a tiger tank.

certain vendor is now selling 5 to 6 incher for $185 just on this speculation, cant imagine the price of ntt if there is an actual ban, couples of year ago there was a speculation that IT were going to get banned but it never did happen then months later we had a large flood of baby its
