NTT

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I own five 3" NTT's. Three of them are perfectly fine chasing each other, one died from gill disease and the other stable NTT my favourite.......gets super stressed when being chased and already died twice for at least two minutes  on my watch but I always resuscitated this little fella and bring him back to life everytime he dies:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:. I pump and squeezed his body in my palm with my three fingers till he regains his consciousness and pushed both his eyes inwards so that it will go back to normal . He maybe a bit bruised right now due to finger pressure but I'm lucky that he's still alive.

If your NTT becomes unconscious, try this crazy method. You may get lucky to have him back.

Sad to hear bro. I tried to tell you. Keep aeration up and water change more frequent than usual if you get more. Copper sulfate can be used after water changes for a preventative for flukes. Its easy on the dats and can be removed with carbon easily.

sorry for your loss

I'm glad I've never had to experience this

Sorry to hear about ur loss. I've had this problem wit NTT's in the past too. I managed to save 1 out of my first 5 that I got. As soon as you notice the heavy breathing u need to move them to a hospital tank and treat. I used the Marcel Coppersafe med and increased aeration to treat the 1 I was able to save. He is now doing well back in the big tank.
I just got a new batch of (3) 3-4" Ntt's from FRP last week. I put them in qt when I brought them home, and treated with Al's new med Parinox. I left them in there for a week, and have since transferred them to the big dat tank. They seem to be settling in well. They were all eating froz krill last night for the first time. They were on feeders b4. So now I got them on froz krill so thats a good sign. Ntt's are my fav tigers, but they r very fragile at small sizes. Hopefully my new 3 will grow up nice and healthy with no problems.

Thanks Al...U da man!!
