Jeez she looked ready to pop any second. Neat how she has teeth tho, my King Kong I had (parthonax) he was just a big orange football that would headbutt everything lol. He had no teeth and had a permanent derp face. This a pic of him after he past away of old age.

Big boy. I have 4 parrots, all in separate tanks due to aggression / fighting. Patch set off the fireworks, even beating up my dominant male BP Kong at the time. She split his snout like a razor blade and he sported a black bruise for days. You can read all about my fish in various threads. Two of my four can open their mouths and have teeth. One other can kind of flex his mouth and the fourth doesn't open his at all.

He was about a foot long, 9 inches tall and maybe 6-7 inches wide. Weighed about 2 lb. When I got him he was already 10 years old and I had him for about half a year before he passed. From what I remember reading online it's pretty rare to have them reach 10 let alone get older then that. I got him with 8 red dragon peacock cichlids and a 10 year old jack Dempsey that was at 14 inches long. The JD was named alduin because him and parthonax never got allong. Lol parthonax always bullied him while leaving anything 8 inches all the way down to .5 an inch alone. Sadly don't have any pics of alduin tho.

So there are even bigger ones then?! Jeez and I thought he was massive for a parrot lol. It sucked when he passed away but he sure did taste good in the end lol. They have a very weird ribcage tho, really reminded me of the shape of a recurve bow.

LOL I meant 13 years of age. No your parrot was huge. At my Lfs there's an old parrot couple that look like pumpkins, it's insane. The male looks like a low grade mammon and the female resembles your big guy. They 'kiss' and play, it's remarkable to see. Both on sale for $150.

$150 each or for both? Cuz if it's for both that a good deal. I wouldn't mind getting a Mammon at some point. I like how they don't get the dip in the forehead like most BP's get. Every once in a great while I see a young BP for sale without the dipped forehead but not too often. Lol seen one once that looked like it had a butt on it head.

$150 for the pair. If I had room I'd buy them, but as it is I may have to upgrade the individual tanks at some point, as mine are young adults. Last I saw the huge bps was a month ago they may have sold for all I know.

Yeah I know I have to upgrade my tanks too at some point. But before I can do that I got to get my fish room all set up and organized first before I start looking for bigger tanks.
