i do the same but its rare that i get one too big. mostly it doesnt matter since he crushes the heck outta them. sometimes he just waits a day or two but they never make it past 4 days. i sit back and watch the show

You guys ever gone bass fishin? if you find a crayfish with claws that look too big to be swallowed, rip those buggers off and cast him out... works every time...

Also if you get Huge ones, rip off the tail and throw atleast that in...if not the carcass piece by piece...
