O2 needs on fish

Hi guys,

Well, its almost time for me to ship across Canada. I'm in need of some advice.

The fish arrive late afternoon, and i can't find direct flights that run late enough to ship across Canada the same day. So, i'm going to have to acclimate them here and ship out another day.

My questions are

1) How long should i keep them in my care? I was thinking about one week.

2) Is the open space in the bag enough to provide adequate O2 for a 10 hours ish flight?

I don't want to screw up, as i am shipping 6 fish out of province... so if i screw up i screw up x6.

Thanks

i would keep 'em for 1-2 weeks... since they had a long flight... they probally wont eat till after 1 week....

i would also starve then at least 2 days before shipping... and do a massive water change the night before shipping...

besides o2 it... i would get hypo or "bag buddies" to knock them out abit...
