I wish you the best, but I don't think that fish are intelligent and sophisticated enough to respond to your attempts to teach them to not behave a certain way. I feel that they're brains don't have the capacity to respond to conditioning, like a dog, cat or some other mammal. Fish act on instinct. Keep us posted on your progress. Perhaps you can prove me to be incorrect.

yeah i dont know if they or not either, the advice i gave was what i would do to train a smarter animal but like i said i never tried it on fish so dont know if its possible i guess this can be a kind of experiment lol

Mine used to jump for food when he was small, but i started handfeeding just below the surface of the water.
He now waits for the food to be put into the water.
I get my occasional splash, but that's tha joy of monsterfishkeeping.
Does he go at it if you put your hand in the water?

Ya he goes crazy then too. Even if the food is in the water he jumps on top of the other fish to get the food.
