Observing Your Tank

Just curious, how long do most of you spend on average when you have the time to sit and just watch your fish? *meaning no maintenance, no feeding, just contently watching their personalities.


also, what is the LONGEST amount of time you spent just watching your fish? (again, I mean just kickin it and watching them for pure enjoyment)

Usually on average I will watch them for an hour a day. I think one time I took to much Nyquil and I sat in front of one of my tanks for about 6 hours.

all day every day. i do maintance every sunday. feedings every other day. and pure enjoyment every day all day. atleast averaging 3-4 hours a day maybe. but those quick peeks b4 i sleep, when i wake up, b4 i leave the house. gotta make sure everyones ok b4 i leave cuz if i dont, i may regret it.

Long enough that my wife says to kiss the fish since I obviously love them more than her.

2-3 hrs a day at least. usually fall asleep staring into reef tank

so loooooong my mom cant find me inside the house even whes shes screaming only to find out im in front of the tanks. she also said she will check my tanks one day if i went missing for a period of time.

ussualy for about 4 hours a day strait, i just lay down in the middle of the fish room/bedroom on the floor with a pillow and watch all the tanks, even tho sometimes in on da fone with the gf while doing so.......

Don't really watch them much unless glancing over watching t.v. or something. Shame.

My 90g is in my living room, i dont really watch tv except for the news and UFC, so whenever im in the living room im watching the 90g with my daughter.
when im not in the living room im in my office which houses my 29g.
needless to say when im home im usually watching the tanks.

Over 100 tanks. I'm afraid I've totally forgotten what it's like to not have maintenance to do somewhere in the hatchery.
