Observing Your Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
maybe 20 minutes a day not quite as long as some of you guys

probably averages at an hour a day. Sometimes i'll use the glow of a PC monitor at night to watch night time activity while surfing MFK for a number of hours. Longest probably about 5. I think you've got to sit there still for about 30mins hour to get all your fish to forget your there and act "normally"

way too much

i concur, if im just sitting there for a few minutes theyre all beggin for food, but after a while they satrt to notice me less and the other fish more.....

i think the time we forget to watch our fish is when the hobby has turned from fishkeeping to fishbuying/having. i was at that satge not too long ago, it made me think, i decied id finish getting the species ive wanted, grow them up, but during that time, only buy nerw fish for the smaller tanks, gimme a chnace to watch the fish in my tanks as opposed to at the LFS :)

i watch mine constantly throughout the day

Over 100 tanks. I'm afraid I've totally forgotten what it's like to not have maintenance to do somewhere in the hatchery.

 that's alot of water

about an hour a day average, I fall asleep to 2 reef tanks.

I absolutly get lost in the reefs. I love my longfinned oscar's personality, he is fun to watch.
