As an unemployed person I agree to demanding everyone should be able to get a decent(not $20hr) job.

can you clear this up for me?

are you saying that jobs should be created for everyone, that somehow tax payers owe you and everyone else a job?

...because that sounds an awful lot like that kid in the video i posted saying that someone owes him tuition for no apparent reason other than that's what he wants... simply replace the word "tuition" with "a job".

It sounds kind of ridiculous but if people are willing and able to work, something should be done to create jobs for these people. Life isn't always fair but some of these people aren't even getting a chance.

it began in New York (wall street), spread to other states now its worldwide. what they demand is too high in demand for anyone to meet, but still remember what you hear in the News and on the streets is not always true. they are also fighting for lower taxes, and higher taxes for the rich. Obama actually agreed to raise the taxes for the rich but due to the US Government being run by the rich they shot that down also. but what ever you hear is NOT always true. even if its from me:p

When did u get a job from a poor person? Less taxes on job makers means more jobs.

so... make their problems someone else's problems? that's your solution? :screwy:

please tell me you're trolling.

if you want to create a job for someone, be my guest. but don't force me or anyone else to do it.

it's ideas like this that make everyone in the ows crowd look like idiots.

why do taxpayers owe you a job? or tuition? or a car?

you're accusing wall street of being unfair while making unfair demands with the same breath! don't you see how hypocritical that is? :duh:

Did you read any of my other posts? I'm very neutral on the matter. I see how somebody who is willing and able to work thinks they should have a job but can't get one (and that's how life can be sometimes). But I can also see how people who have worked very hard for what they have would not want to just GIVE things to people that they deem unworthy of it.

Are you intentionally putting words in my mouth? Did I mention anything about forcing somebody to give anyone else a job? Did I say I was owed a job, a car, or my tuition paid for? I never accused Wallstreet of being unfair, I implied that LIFE was unfair. Also, point me to where I make these "demands"?

I can quickly see why this thread became somewhat desolate with such anger in it. Get a little reading comprehension under your belt and then come back and we'll have a big boy discussion!

EDIT: let's keep this going in a civil manner. I guess the point I've been trying to make is that there's no middle ground to keep everyone happy here.

i dont' know anyone who's willing to work and able to work that can't find a job. i know lots of people who are willing to work and able to work but refuse to take the jobs that are available at the time and are holding out for better jobs

Ahhh, maybe it's the quality of the jobs available then.. Doesn't surprise me really. I know a couple of people that lost high-paying jobs and make more on welfare than they would make at some of the jobs that are available to them.

yes

I'm very neutral on the matter.

interesting, because this sounds like you were picking a side... "It sounds kind of ridiculous but if people are willing and able to work, something should be done to create jobs for these people."

Are you intentionally putting words in my mouth?

i didn't put words in your mouth; i asked a question: "so... make their problems someone else's problems? that's your solution?"

Did I mention anything about forcing somebody to give anyone else a job?

yes: "It sounds kind of ridiculous but if people are willing and able to work, something should be done to create jobs for these people."

were you implying that the tooth fairy should come down and make everyone jobs? how would you create these jobs?

Did I say I was owed a job, a car, or my tuition paid for?

YOU did not. i was replying to your statement and asking questions in a rhetorical manner. i wasn't a addressing YOUR demands specifically. was that not obvious?

I never accused Wallstreet of being unfair, I implied that LIFE was unfair.

it's irrelevant as to what specifically you are calling unfair... the point is that you're suggesting an unfair solution to an unfair problem. that's hypocritical.

Also, point me to where I make these "demands"?

something should be done to create jobs for these people.

i'm not angry, u mad bro?

nothing i said suggests that i don't understand what your saying... except where i asked you specifically.

EDIT: let's keep this going in a civil manner. I guess the point I've been trying to make is that there's no middle ground to keep everyone happy here.

you can't make everyone "happy" . BUT, you can be fair to everyone, there's a huge difference.
