A few years ago I bought an oceanic 110 on Craigslist and it leaked when I bought it but I was willing to reseal it. So I did. It held water for more than a year then one day at 2:30 in the morning I noticed it had started to leak. I thought water was just splashing on the covers and running down the side or something. But then I found that there was about 3/4 of an inch gap between the front panel and the center brace. So then I tore it down and resealed it with an additional piece of glass siliconed between the front and back. It held for a few months no problem then one morning at 4:30 the new brace was ripped off the back and laying along the front of the tank and the back of the original center brace was unattached from the rest of the tank. So again I had to tear it down and move the fish. I went way overboard with the silicone the second time so idk what to do. Either sell it as a terrarium or fix it for a 3rd time.

Sounds like it needs to be completely broken down and redone. Or sell it as a terrarium. No more fixing it. Sounds like a PIA to me.

I have the same thoughts as twentyleagues above, if it were me I'd probably sell it to a snake/reptile guy for a bit of cash and then get something that doesn't leak. If it were a bigger tank then I'd say to keep it and redo it, but tanks around that size aren't too hard to find so prob be easier to just start with a non leaker right from the start rather than tearing down and doing a complete between the panes of glass reseal, which sounds like what it probably needs.

I agree with the previous posts....sell it to a herper and move on.I used to aspire to have an Oceanic tank years ago as they seemed to be better made than AGA and other brands.....but this one seems to have outlived it's usefulness as an aquarium...and it has a particularly nasty habit of failing during the wee hours of the day.

Anthony, much respect for your perseverance on resealing that sucker 3-4x!

For a 110, I might try it once, unless it's some super special size/footprint that I NEEDED and is hard to get.

Other than that, I trash or give it away.

I guess I should have mentioned I’m a herp guy more then a fish guy.
