Oceanic 110

I can’t find anything big near where I live. So it makes it harder to sell lol. The only reason I mentioned that it was an oceanic was in case anyone has had the same problem, I didn’t know they were anything special until someone messaged me on her awhile back about it. Some guy came and looked at it for his snakes but he was turned off by the size of the openings and needing to find screens for it. I bought it for $100 a few years ago for fish so I would think $50 for it as a terrarium is fair.

I hear ya, I live smack dab in the middle of Kansas and it is a desert as far as large aquariums are concerned. After probably 9 months of looking on craigslist, I found a 135g Oceanic for sale in Greeley, CO. So it was a 14 hour drive round trip, but the lady only wanted $90.00 so I feel it was worthwhile over all.

I would think Oregon would be close enough to the Cal and Seattle markets that you'd be able to find something?

Try SearchTempest.com if you haven't been already, it will search all craiglists for cities within X miles of your location. Its pretty slick.

As far as the quality of Oceanic tanks, I haven't heard anything bad about them compared to some of the other brands.

Oceanic are good tanks. At some point though all silicone seals fail. It sounds like this tank probably needs a complete redo. Which if it's that hard to find a tank you may want to invest that time. I guess some of us are more lucky with more used equipment in the area available. I've had mixed luck with used so now I just get it new or from someone I trust knows the history......well for the most part anyway.
