payara, Hydrolycus scomberoides, also known as "Dog Tooth Characin" or vampire tetra!
What a beauty though. Apparently there is some trouble with them surviving a long time in a home aquaria.
Would love to learn more about these fish.
 
Read throught the posts before asking what kind of fish #17 is. Demjor has had to post it at least twice that #17 are payaras.

Some nice fish, and great pics. The white aro was pretty, but I liked that close up of the gar's face.

Some of the quality in these pictures.....wow!! I know it takes me 20 pics to get 1 clear enough one to post in my boards, but how long did it take you guys!! lol

P.S. Curly, you have to have a certain number of posts before you can view pics....didn't know if you knew that yet or not ^.^
