Damn, That sucks.. Sounds like it is going to eat whatever you put in there with him..

+1

Yeah it sucks.

I found a 150 gallon tall tank with 30 gallon sump on craigslist today for $100. If its still available after I get off work Im going to grab it for him. Maybe with a bigger tank I can add some bigger fish that he wont eat/kill for fun.

I don't know if you or anyone else has ideed it yet but it looks like an Atlantic Octopus. One of the most commonly sold cephs in the hobby....at least in this area. It's good to see that it is doing well so far.I've kept them a few years ago and actually have some VHS footage of one of mine from years back.I'd love to share it here but have no clue how I would do that....They are about the coolest aquatic pet that I have ever kept, some of them can be really interactive and I will have another in the future...I think just about any fish you put in there will be in peril, regardless of tank size. When the lights go off and the fish rests, they will be reduced to chum.

If you don't mind the drive I have a friend with a 75g tank with stand and hood with a 20g sump for $50 he would sell me. I'd be glad to pass that to you

That's a really nice gesture and a nice sized set up for the octopus.

Tmartinez, that sounds like a great deal but being in the extreme NW corner of the state, anywhere else in Florida is a HELL of a drive. Jacksonville is about 6.5 hours from me. My vehicle does 60MPH tops and gets 14MPG so I dont think I can make it that far.

I couldnt grab that tank, got into a bidding war with another fellow who ended up paying double the asking price! Ive enjoyed the little shrimps and stuff so much that Ive debated letting him go and doing somthing with the little biocube. My wife on the other hand really likes the guy so if we buy a house soon she has given me the green light for a larger tank.
