This is a true Brown Ghost shown below.
The fish you have is a BGK with just a different color variation.

Oh, I didn't know that. I just remembered that there was also a species called a brown ghost knife, so I typed it into google and found that pic. Oh well, I tried.

I don't think that you can get a certain color variant just by looking. Some sellers have them, but that is normally because they ordered wholesale and got one that wasn't the same coloration as the rest. Just a lucky order.

Thanks again you guys. It is about 7-9inches. Cant get it to be still long enough to get an accurate measurement. Dnt want to risk injury by handling him.
