Odd behavior or something to worry about?

I made this observation, because you said the synspillum is laying in the corner, on the site but no eggs as yet.
So to me, it sounds like the synspillum has secured the site, and at this point the small sajica is hanging around outside, until absolutely ready to spawn.
And in your photo, the sajica appears to me to be female.

So my curiousity got the best of me and I’m adjusting my theory...

I noticed the female convict started hanging around the Sajica which leads me to believe that they’re planning on mating....

BUT why do you think the synspilum is staying within such close proximity of the other two in the corner?
