Also how many loaches are in there and what was that one large NON clown loach that swam up a couple times? Didn't look like a dario, zebra, or yoyo

I have two setups but the one in the vid is a 125gal with about 30 clowns. I seperated the big guys so the small could get more food. That fish your asking about is a Emperor Botia (Botia udomritthiruji)
good luck finding some.. Been trying but I guess they are hard to get ...I know one person with 3 and that's it.

Oh ya I've heard of them but have never come across them. Probably why I didn't know what it is.

I'm moving my large cl's to my 125 and in with my 14" ornate bichir this week to make room for the new cl's and to make feeding them and the eels easier.

Yeah that should help the little ones.

I'm hoping it'll help the big ones too because they're SUPER skiddish. The smaller 4 have only been in the US about 2 months and the tank they're in now is in a high traffic area in my home. The only time I ever see them out and about is when the lights are off and there's VERY little movement in the room. Kinda sucks paying all that money for fish I rarely see.

How long have you had all the big clowns? When they see you do they come to the tank waiting to be fed? I started feeding mine frozen blood worms and then started doing it by hand to help make them less skittish when I do tank maintenance and so far it's helped. I'll put my hand in to do stuff and they don't freak out anymore. You just have to make sure your hands are clear with no chemicals etc on them. Do you have mid range fish in both tanks? As for lights I leave them on all day till night...it's bright and doesn't bother them. Even when I grab a new one.

I've had them less than 2 months. It doesn't matter what I do, they run and hide as soon as someone even comes in the room. During the day several times I've stayed in another room for extended periods of time and will occasionally peak around the corner to see if they come out to forage or anything and they don't and that's with the lights out. They stay hidden ALL day long and only come out like I said before, after the lights go out at night and there is NO movement in the room. Even then, only the 8" and one or two others come out and that is only when I have some cucumber clipped to the side. When I go to clean the tank they freak out bad, slamming into the sides and everything. I have 4 small gouramini, 3 yoyos, 2 very small tire track eels, and a juvie fire eel in with them. As far as the lights go, I keep them on a timer that runs them from 5 pm to 11 pm. Everybody else in the tank is very social. I even already have the eels eating from my fingers in just a couple weeks. I just can't seem to calm these cl's.

Yeah 2months isn't really a long time. Yours may just take longer to calm. How often are you inside the tank doing water changes and cleaning?
