After 12" is a Superworm-only diet sufficient for a Jardini?

my 8" Jardini I've had since 3" stopped eating his aro sticks. I fed him 3 times a day until he hit 6" now twice a day (morning and night)

instead, he does the usual "picky" behavior that a lot of jardini owners have seen and spits it out or just ignores it and swims right by.

the weird thing is... he swims to the bottom...and eats the algae wafers that i feed my catfish and pleco every night. (he goes completely vertical and snatches them!)

so he's willing to eat algae wafers...:screwy:
but not aro sticks...

it's pissing me off. been going on for 2 weeks now

any suggestions?

my old jar did the same.i started useing freeze dried shrimp and he loved it.then switched to hakari food sticks and it took it in no problem.

My first aro made the same thing . he was fed with big shrimps twice a day and sometimes he refused to eat shrimps anymore .
Your jar maybe don't want aro sticks anymore . Why don't you give him some shrimps or some little fishes to varie his alimentation ??

Well the azoo brand sticks seem to be giving the jar some nice growth and awesome color. plus it's cheap to buy the giant jugs...i'm breeding superworms currently and i feed that to him like once every 2 weeks. i don't get why he keeps eating algae wafers over aro sticks. less protein mroe fat..it's like a potato chip =(

I have tons of superworms that i'm breeding.

i haven't tried crickets. I just want to somehow get my jar back on aro sticks otherwise the whole jug i bought would be a waste lol... plus it seems like it has a good mix of nutrition.

any suggestions on how to get it back on those healthy sticks?
