I think your 1st point is appropriate, the spots on the dorsal makes it more on the 114/600 side rather than 24/25.

But if it turns out to be a 24/25 ( which I personally don't think it'll happen ) it'll be a great catch.. :D:D:D

How big is yours now? I have 2 in a 75g tank. The smaller one just went through a growth spurt (I thought it was the bigger one the first time I saw it). They are about 5.5" and 4.5" SL.
 
He looks like he got quite big. Mine doesnt seem to wanna grow at all. Ive had mine for about 7-8 months and i cant really see much of a change in size. What are you guys feeding them?

I have had mine since December of 2009. The largest one went through a growth spurt last summer. The smaller one went through a growth spurt this summer. I'm guessing once yours gets to around 2.5 to 3" SL, you may see a growth spurt.

I feed mine hikari wafers and xtreme scraper wafers. I think they really like the scraper wafers better (trying to use up the hikari wafers). They also like the NLS thera A+ pellets (which I fed to them in quarrantine), but unfortunately my dither tetras (diamonds and congos) like the pellets also; the wafers are too big for the tetras.
 
Does yours come out during feeding? All the other plecos ive ever had did but i never see my l114 out. Id like to get him friends but cant find anymore.

First got him back around early Mar this year est 2,5" he has since doubled the size reaching 5" in 6months. Eats a lot. :)

Can't be bro, from 2"-6" I notice that they grow quite fast. Unless urs is quite big (more than 8") then their growth rate will slow down. I gave my all my pseuda "hikari" sinking pellets. :)
