Do you think, floating Bio balls in your tank would be a beneficial contributor to your bio filtration?

I think it would be as beneficial as anything else in your tank, but I wouldn't expect it to have the same effect as it would if they were in the filter, where there's constant heavy water flow across the surfaces.
