I had almost an entire spawn of severums turn out this way except for the red neck. The male was a turquoise (yes, I know, they are all considered greens now) and the female was a weird gray barless severum with a bright red anal fin and dark red spots throughout her body. Despite dad having bars, almost all the fry had zero bars and ended up being gray and spotted like the female.

That's really interesting Ryan. Makes me more suspicious that these are Mutts, albeit beautiful mutts ! I'm sure there are some rottie genes in there somewhere I'm sure because of the red shoulder.
At some point I may see if I can get these two to breed and see if they breed true.

Interesting, did they look anything like mine when they were younger ?

Have to admit I can see the resemblance. Do/did they have stress bars ?

Yours still seem to have the vestigial vertical bars at the bottom of the abdomen. Mine just don't have those at all.

Hamfist, did you get them from a 'Maidenhead' lfs? like i said earlier, my local MA has these labelled as 'Heros Appendiculatus' they are deffo not Rotkeils that you have.
