what does it mean when a severum twitches its ventral fin? both of mine have been doing it a lot since they were moved into the 90g

I have one who never does it and one who does it fairly often. I cant seem to figure it out

literally right after my first post they started doing it again, the big one would twitch his ventral fin then the little one would twitch his dorsal fin and they would go back and forth like they were talking in morse code

twitching or shaking is breeding behavior...trying to impress a possible mate.
so it's basically flirting?, hopefully it leads to something :headbang2

sounds like flirting to me, do you know their genders? 3" does seem a bit small though but i dont really know the smallest size that severums can breed at...

the water is at 82 degrees so i don't think it's ich, i will add some salt tonight just in case

I know that the larger fish (5"-5.5") is a definite male, and I always thought that the smaller one (3") was too young to tell now i'm not so sure.
also last night there was a huge thunderstorm and about an hour before it started the began defending a piece of driftwood. today they are ignoring it :screwy:
