Post pictures of odd stinger growth. Double stingers. Anything realated to the stinger. Also huge stingers are desired to be added also. Post size, age, sex and type of ray.

Thinking the other day after looking at my female made me want to start this thread.

Ill start with my female mantilla. 8" 6 months old.

I think the "double stingers" is a normal thing since the old one is already being replaced by the new stinger before it drops off.

Its about to shed its stinger. Simple and plain.

You havn't kept rays that much have you?:grinno:

I keep waiting for this to happen to my motoros. How old do they have to be to start shedding stingers?

nice mantilla i love the lite color...nothing really to share on this i do keep the old one like to share with the kids seems like my adult freinds are not into the rays but there kids love them

I think some of you are getting the wrong idea with this. I'm not asking a question about what's going on with this ray. I wanted to start a thread about odd stinger growth or what not. For example a Guy I.saw recently had his rays stinger grow strait up. Just post pictures and info related to stingers. That's all simple easy no hidden meaning. As you will all see reading my first post no questions asked.

4inches that's a good size stinger . If you kept it post a pic.

My rays all have a "double stinger" before dropping the old one. I just found a huge stinger in my pond about 4 inches
