Odd stingers . Pic/info thread

Another good thought how often do different rays shed stingers and at what age is first shedding. I have 6 rays this age and this is the only one showing double stingers.

I keep waiting for this to happen to my motoros. How old do they have to be to start shedding stingers?

I wonder if timing between shedding stingers may be influenced by diet. My hystrix shed about once a year. All 3 have double stingers right now.

Also by size. In 2 years when they are larger will they shed less often or more?
